Uppercut (2025) is an English-language sports drama and thriller directed and written by Torsten Ruether. The film follows Toni Williams, a determined young woman who enters the world of boxing with the ambition of becoming a successful fighter. Her journey leads her to Elliott Duffond, a former boxing champion who runs a tough boxing gym and becomes an unexpected mentor in her life.

The story later moves forward several years, showing Toni in a very different position. Instead of continuing her own boxing career, she becomes a pioneering female boxing manager and uses the lessons she learned from Elliott to guide a young fighter named Payne Harris. As Payne prepares for an important championship fight, Toni must draw upon everything she has learned to help him face the pressure and challenges ahead.
